The beginning of summer is just around the corner, which means long days full of sunshine, warm nights and the perfect opportunity to enjoy a variety of fun events, dining, shopping and more in La Mesa’s Downtown Village! See what La Mesa Village has for you to explore this summer!

Events

22nd Annual La Mesa Flag Day Parade

When: Saturday, June 1st at 10 am
Where: La Mesa Blvd, starting at University Avenue to Acacia
What: This family friendly event, put on by the City of La Mesa, features a showcase of marching bands, clubs, businesses and local dignitaries. The Grand Marshal is Willie O’Ree of the San Diego Gulls! Guests can indulge in free ice cream (while supplies last), which is being provided by the La Mesa Community Relations & Veteran’s Commission at “The Lookout” at Legacy Park located at 4th Ave./La Mesa Blvd. Click here for the flier.

La Mesa Classic Car Show

When: Every Thursday beginning June 6 – August 29, 2019 from 5 – 8 pm (no car show on July 4th)
Where: La Mesa Blvd, between Spring Street & 4th Avenue
What: The La Mesa Classic Car Show features pre-1974 cars, trucks and vans parked along La Mesa Blvd. This free, community event will also feature live DJ’s and bands, events and an award giveaway each week honoring that evening’s best cars! 

La Mesa Farmer’s Market

When: Every Friday from 3 – 7 pm
Where: La Mesa Blvd, between Palm & 4th Avenue
What: The highly popular La Mesa Farmer’s Market is thriving in downtown La Mesa and features a wide assortment of merchants, including fresh produce, flowers, arts & crafts, as well as tasty food vendors. This family-friendly, free community event is in the heart of La Mesa Village and close to all of the one-of-a-kind shops and restaurants you can also explore during your visit.

Dinner & Drinks

See and be seen this summer in downtown La Mesa which offers foodies, and families alike, an array of dining & cocktail options to experience for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Several La Mesa dining spots offer outdoor, patio seating, perfect for soaking in the sights and sounds of downtown.
